The UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment took place in Rome, Italy from 24 – 26 July 2023, on the premises of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). It was hosted by Italy, in collaboration with the Rome-based UN Agencies (FAO, IFAD, WFP), the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub and the wider UN system. The event was comprised of 33 sessions, each of which produced a brief summary report. These reports have been translated into each of the official UN languages and volunteer support is required to proofread these translations.

Following the UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment, the organizers of each Summit session submitted a brief summary report. The UN Food Systems Coordination Hub requires support in proofreading the translations of these summary reports. Workload will be divided by 3 online volunteers with an estimated 22,000 words per person, to be completed within two weeks of receiving the text. The task is to proofread the Spanish translations and ensure they are translated correctly, free of any grammatical errors and maintaining the correct UN-style tone. A glossary of specific terms used by the Hub will also be provided.

French native speakers with professional experience translating from English into French. Familiarity with food systems terminology will be an asset. Previous experience with FAO / WFP / IFAD / WHO / UNEP documents will be an asset. Previous experience translating UN documents will be an asset.
