Anchored in the UNDP Country Programme for Tunisia (2021–2025), and building on the lessons learned from the SDG16+ portfolio (2018–2023), as well as a comprehensive analysis of vulnerabilities, stakeholder dynamics, and institutional capacities, UNDP — in collaboration with national partners — has developed a new portfolio titled “Governance as a Lever for SocioEconomic Development in Tunisia.” This portfolio seeks to engage public institutions, civil society, and the private sector to leverage accountable and effective governance to accelerate socioeconomic development through a people centred, territorial approach focused on local solutions. The approach is grounded in the belief that a just and corruption-free society — one where vulnerable population are actively included in shaping solutions through partnerships among public institutions, civil society, and the private sector — can serve as a catalyst for progress toward Tunisia’s Vision 2035 and its National Development Plan (2023–2025). To support the government’s efforts in implementing planned structural reforms and addressing these critical challenges, the portfolio aims to contribute to sustainable development in Tunisia through three key outcomes. Among them is Outcome 1: “Transparency and accountability are effectively strengthened to prevent corruption at both local and national levels and to promote fair and high-quality service delivery to the population.”
Under the direct supervision of the CTP of Outcome 1, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
• Support knowledge management and documentation efforts, including organizing and maintaining digital archives, reports, presentations, and learning materials on UNDP platforms; • Assist in the logistical organization of events, workshops, and missions, in coordination with the project team and partners; • Contribute to the visibility of project activities and results, by assisting in the implementation of the communication plan and coordinating with the Country Office communications team; • Assist in the preparation of knowledge products and outreach materials (e.g., summaries of key project components, internal briefs, presentations, concept notes, etc .); • Support the project team with programmatic, administrative, and financial tracking, in line with the annual work plan, results framework, and UNDP and donor procedures; • Support youth-related activities through logistical coordination and contribution to awareness materials and documentation; • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor in line with the implementation needs of the project.
