Wahana Visi Indonesia is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to work and collaborate to empower the most vulnerable children, family and community through community development, advocacy, and emergency response for sustainable transformation regardless of religion, race, ethnic or gender.

Since 1998, Wahana Visi Indonesia has carried out various community development programs focusing on children. Hundred thousands of children in Indonesia have been benefited from WVI’s accompaniment program. Wahana Visi Indonesia is a trusted partner of World Vision International.

Key Responsibilities:

The USAID/BHA KUAT program (Award#720BHA23GR00156) commenced on May 1, 2023 and will be completed by April 30, 2026. It is implemented through a consortium led by Miyamoto International, partnering with Wahana Visi Indonesia (World Vision in Indonesia) and Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The total budget for USAID KUAT is USD 5.000.000.

The USAID/BHA KUAT Activity seeks to “reduce the lives lost, people injured, property damaged, and overall social and economic disruption from natural disasters in Greater Jakarta, by increasing the DRR and resilience awareness and preparedness of households (HH) and communities in high-risk urban and peri-urban villages, while boosting the capacity and coordinated engagement of public and private sector actors as key partners in DRR and resilience in Indonesia.” This goal correspond to the purpose of activity sector is as follows: 1. Improving community awareness and DRR capacity in Greater Jakarta 2. Reducing household level disaster risk 3. Increasing access to financial services and response to shocks

Project officer will works with Team Leader and consortium to implement the project.
