UNDP’s Istanbul Regional Hub provides policy and programmatic support to UNDP Country Offices in Europe and CIS region and implements regional initiatives to help eradicate poverty in all its forms, accelerate the transition to sustainable development, and make sure countries and people are able to withstand crises and shocks. In line with the Regional Programme2022-2025, the New Partnerships and Emerging Donors Team provides support to Country Offices as well as thematic teams at the Istanbul Regional Hub in identifying and building partnerships with wide range of actors in advancing the Agenda 2030. In addition, the Team plays a lead role in coordinating UNDP partnerships with emerging donors in the region, including capacity building and project implementation. The incumbent will support implementation of two regional projects, the Czech-UNDP Partnership for SDGs – CUP (50%) and the Polish-UNDP Partnership: Innovative Solutions for the SDGs - PUP (50%). The main goal of the Czech-UNDP Partnership for SDGs (CUP) is to bring Czech expertise and innovative solutions for SDGs to partner countries. Since 2020, 6 partner countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Moldova, and Zambia) are included in the programme. Three components of the program include: 1) Expertise on Demand (according to the local demand, the Czech expertise is implemented in the priority countries) 2) Challenge Fund - Czech Solutions for SDGs (Innovative solutions for the priority countries are supported) 3) Knowledge Management The project is managed by a Project Manager supported by a project associate (incumbent) who will engage with the CUP on part time arrangement (50%). The main modality under Polish-UNDP Partnership: Innovative Solutions for SDGs is Polish Challenge Fund (PCF), jointly hosted by the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. The activity identifies promising innovative solutions that facilitate transfer of the Polish know-how to have a positive impact at scale and address development challenges in selected Polish Aid programme countries: Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Republic of Belarus and more. The Project is managed by a Project Manager supported by a Project Associate on a part-time arrangement (50%). The Project Associate will work under direct supervision of the Project Managers of Czech and Polish Partnerships and Partnerships Specialist of UNDP Partnerships Team, located in the UNDP Istanbul Regional Hub.

Polish Challenge Fund The Project Associate will support the implementation of the Polish-UNDP Partnership: Innovative Solutions for the SDGs Project, in terms of  Administrative support to the project, including procurement, contract preparations, support in preparation of calls for applications, management of payments, budget and budget revisions.  visibility and communication including implementation in order to enhance the recognition of the Polish Challenge Fund modality within the group of relevant partners and stakeholders in Poland and partner countries as well as within the UNDP. Czech-UNDP Partnership  Administrative support to project implementation, including procurement, contract preparations, support in preparation of calls for applications, management of payments and project-milestones.  Visibility and Communication in the Project Countries, Donor Country and within UNDP, including but not only via composition of articles, social media posts, liaison with COs’ and IRH’s communications specialists and suppliers to ensure visibility in line with the project document and visibility guidelines

development cooperation in international context, project management and/or international relations, experience working in the UN or other international development organization is an asset;  Previous project management experience in international context will be an asset;  Previous experience in communication and Media sector will be an asset;  Experience in outreach and communication to companies, foundations, and individuals as well as private sector fora and platforms will be an asset;  Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a team of colleagues of varied cultural and professional backgrounds;  Excellent drafting skills, experience in writing papers, briefings, articles and with own work published desirable;  Practical experience of how-to multi-task prioritize and work independently.  Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;  Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;  Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions  Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded;  Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others).

Metro, tram, bus lines are up and running throughout the day. Ferry lines are connecting Europe and Asia. There are two airports available in Istanbul and well connected to various destinations.
