Job Summary

To lead and carry out implementation and monitoring of project activities for Gender Equality and Woman Empowerment - SADP project in Thaba - Tseka and Qacha'sneck districts, to monitor and measure project impact for improved and sustainable programming.

Key Responsibilities:

Activities (50%)

  • Facilitate selection, registration and verification of beneficiary HHs to be addressed and submit the list in excel to Project coordinator.
  • Implement the GEWE -SADP project to promote improved women and youth inclusion in agricultural commercialization.
  • Facilitate the promotion of the climate resilience initiatives and improving nutrition outcomes in country in line with ENOUGH and Global Hunger Response Campaigns (GHR).
  • Monitor and collect data of GEWE - SADP project implementation regularly and report progress and challenges and lessons learned to the project coordinator as per the M&E plans in alignment with donor and World Vision requirements.
  • Ensure alignment with key guidance from relevant Government Ministries, Clusters and donor (GEWE - SADP) requirements.
  • Facilitate women and youth ‘s social empowerment, leadership and participation in decision-making processes that directly affect their livelihoods.
  • Facilitate Women and youth economic empowerment through access to finance and capacity building

Humanitarian Accountability (20%)

  • Ensure the humanitarian accountability system upholds and mainstreams the four pillars of PAF: i. information sharing, ii. Consultation, iii. Participation & iv. Complaints and response of affected people.
  • Always ensure World Vision and Core Humanitarian principles are upheld in all aspects of the project management.
  • Ensure beneficiaries and partners have constant access to information about WV’s programs and the channels that can process complaints & feedback with confidentiality & respond appropriately within predefined standards.

Facilitate Learning and better practices in monitoring (10%)

  • Ensure a learning culture is established within the office/team and among implementing partners in order to document learnings and best practice for ongoing and future programing.
  • Ensure all project and program level & thematic research are reviewed for the methodological thoroughness, and output quality.
  • Assist with program level evaluations on a periodic basis, as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate dissemination of project and program level evaluation findings as relevant.

Reporting and Knowledge management (20%)

  • Attend Collect the information non projects project beneficiaries every month and ensure project level Indicator Tracking Table is updated with accurate data monthly, and key findings are shared with management at the program review and learning.
  • Conduct project site visits regularly and monitors partner & direct implementation for quality standards.
  • Support timely and quality report writing monthly, quarterly and at any time when need for reporting suffices.
  • Apply basic programme management approaches (develop work plans, monitor, execute and report on work plans)
  • Facilitate proper management of knowledge through WV and donor systems

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Degree in Social Sciences or related fields.
  • At least Two (2) years’ experience with project implementation and monitoring for an NGO or grants funded projects.
  • Experience in direct project implementation with grant funded programming

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Office-based with travel to the field
  • Extensive domestic travel

Remuneration: Competitive with market standards
