Contract
This is a UNV International Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Youth contracts.
Within WHO Oman, the function of program management plays a pivotal role. This essential component ensures the effective implementation and assessment of the Country Support Plan to cover the agreed health initiatives. Programme management oversees the planning, execution, and coordination of various health projects, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently, and goals are achieved. In tandem, this function within WHO Oman contributes to the successful execution and continuous improvement of health programs, ultimately benefiting the well-being of the local population.
Under the direct supervision of the Public Health Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
1) Assist in developing comprehensive project plans that outline objectives, timelines, resources, and stakeholders involved based on the endorsed CSP.
2) Support the facilitation of communication and coordination among different team members to ensure the seamless implementation of programs.
3) As part of a team, the youth volunteer will assist in Identifying potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address any challenges that may arise during project execution.
4) Assist in the preparation of regular reports that summarize the achievements, challenges, and lessons learned from each health initiative according to the delivery quarter of CSP.
