UNDP supports implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In Indonesia, UNDP works with the Government to integrate SDGs into national plan and policies.

The Programme Integration Initiative aims to restructure the project management system used in the UNDP Indonesia country office. The ultimate goal of this initiative will be to increase communication and collaboration between project teams both internally in engagement with external stakeholders, and to build a portfolio-based system for project management that will expand the space available for knowledge and resource sharing between internal project teams.

A) Under the direct supervision of Senior Advisor - Programme Integration and Development Analysis , the National UN Youth Volunteer will: • Assist with research, analysis, liaison with partners, and administrative works • Assist in piloting the SDG Accelerator Diagnostic Initiative and related tools.

B) The incumbent will support in planning and implementation of research activities: • Supports in researches and analysis, and presents information gathered from diverse sources. • Supports in designing data collection tools and collecting relevant data (desk research data / field research data). Interpreting responses and preparing conclusions. • Supports in preparing research publication. • Supports in the improvement of programme activities, promotion and advocacy by preparing activity logs/reports, lessons learned, recommendations and other relevant tools

C) The incumbent will support in outreach and communication activities: • Coordinate outreach activities; e.g. support in conducting workshop, seminar, and provide supports in preparing presentations, drafting invitation letter including identifying participants. • Supports in the facilitation of meetings, workshops, FGDs, seminars, webinars, symposiums, press conference, online/offline discussions and other events. • Liaising and facilitating communication and coordination with national government, subnational government, and other UNDP partners; through online and offline platform. • Supports in the preparation of TOR, budgets, work plans, summary points, meeting minutes, briefing notes, activity logs, reports and other documentations • Provide support as note taker for the meetings and conferences; preparing MoM or summary point. • Supports in drafting documentations and/or translations in Bahasa Indonesia or English to communicate with relevant project partners and/or stakeholders. • Supports in following-up actions and/or communications with related partners and/or stakeholders.

D) The incumbent will provide other supports: • Provide support in finance, logistics, and administrative-related area when necessary; in liaison with external team. • Supports in following-up actions and/or communications with related partners and/or stakeholders.

E) Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.

Results/Expected Outputs:

• Production of a report mapping current UNDP Indonesia projects for program integration grouping initiatives. • Provision of meeting minutes from engagement with internal partners and external stakeholders. • Review of program-related documents. • Production of written output of research: draft policy brief, journal, draft research paper. • Production of draft research initiative: draft background paper, draft research design; draft analysis and conclusion.

development-focused program management and support; • Experience in providing support in research and undertaking data collection initiatives; • Excellent analytical, oral and written skills; capable in drafting, research formulation, reporting skills; • Motivated to contribute towards peace and development and to serve others; • Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills; • Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team; • Flexible and open to learning and new experiences; • Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions; • Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded; • Basic computer skills as needed (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite).

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.

-National UN Volunteer Specialist receives approximately IDR 8,237,403.08 as Monthly Living Allowance. -Provided with assignment travel cost and entry lumpsum if applicable. -Enrolled in health, life, disability insurance. -Applicable dependents (primary family unit, up to 3) are eligible for health insurance. -Entitled to annual leave, 2.5 days per month. -Provided with exit lumpsum to support transition at the end of assignment.
