Duties and Responsibilities The UN Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO) in Bhutan is to ensure the coordination of all organizations of the United Nations, dealing with operational activities for development in Bhutan. With effective and efficient use of resources, assisting and facilitating the Resident Coordinator (RC) in the effective discharge of their responsibilities, and ensuring effective communication, diplomacy, compliance and adherence to UN policies, procedures, and operations guidelines.

The Bhutan UN Sustainable Development Framework (UNSDPF) programme cycle ends in 2023. As the UNSDPF enters its last year of implementation, the background work and process for the development of the new Cooperation Framework (CF) started in the first quarter of 2022. The work will continue in 2023 while the UN Bhutan aims for the Results Framework and narrative for the new Cooperation Framework to be finalized before 1 November 2023. Under the supervision of the RCO Team Leader, the contractor in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Bhutan will have the following duties and responsibilities: o Provide logistics and administrative support during the development process of the UNSDCF 2024-2028 ¿ Provide support in managing the UNSDCF virtual platforms (Microsoft (MS) SharePoint, and MS Teams). ¿ Organisation of meetings and proper documentation of the meetings. ¿ Provide logistics and administrative support for the Government-UN Joint Strategic Prioritisation Retreat. ¿ Provide logistic and administrative support for the UNCT Mini-Retreat. o Facilitation of monthly UNCT Meetings ¿ Sending outlook invitations and confirming meeting attendees. ¿ Collecting PowerPoint presentations and liaising with presenters. ¿ Sharing relevant meeting material with attendees. ¿ Providing technical support during the meeting. ¿ Drafting meeting minutes. o Hand- over training of organizing monthly UNCT Meetings to UN RCO Executive Associate prior to the expiry of the contractor’s contract. o Provide support to the RC in managing MS Outlook Calendar. The contractor may be required to take up other tasks at the request of the RC and Head of RCO.

Qualifications/special skills ¿ A first-level university degree in a relevant field. ¿ Knowledge and skills in Information Communication Technology (ICT) and technical support. ¿ Experience in working with Microsoft Office 365. ¿ Experience in meeting organisation and coordination. ¿ Experience in data/information management and consolidation. ¿ Knowledge about the UN System or prior experience working in UNRCO.

Languages ¿ Excellent command of English is required (Spoken and Written)
