Manage internal procurement and logistics operations for the organization.

You have:

  • University degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain, office administration or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Fluent Spanish and English proficiency at B2 level.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-starter and motivated, ability to plan and organize work independently.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and analyze data.
  • Demonstrates commitment to humanitarian values and confidentiality.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Costa Rica (citizenship or valid work permit).

Duty Station: San José, Costa Rica

Type of employment: Full-time

Duration of contract: 12 months with possible extension

Work model: Hybrid – combines work in the office and remote work

Line Manager: Head of Regional Office

Monthly Gross Salary: 1,300 – 1,471 USD

PIN is one of the key organizations from the Central European region supporting human rights defenders and independent media within our Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (HRD). The HRD’s primary goal is to support independent individuals and groups in repressive and fragile environments who are the target of persecution, harassment, or arrests because of their opinions or activities, and to strengthen civil society in countries that are going through democratic transformation.

Although our Latin American (LATAM) program is located in San Jose, Costa Rica, we all belong to the larger HRD team, united by a shared vision and common goals.

As a Procurement and Logistics Officer you will manage internal procurement procedures, office logistics, assets management; ensuring smooth operations and full compliance with internal policies and donor requirements.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Coordinate operational and administrative needs with departments.

· Manage office supplies, equipment, purchases, and service providers.

· Oversee office maintenance, utilities, and event arrangements.

· Maintain asset and inventory records.

· Prepare and implement procurement plans.

· Manage procurement procedures, documentation, and supplier selection.

· Provide guidance on procurement guidelines and donor requirements.
