Overview

Oversee preferred communities programming and supervise caseworkers in Turlock.

You have:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of related professional experience in case management, medical and insurance systems, and/or health education required
  • Prior experience working in humanitarian settings, with non-profit and community-based organizations with refugees, immigrant populations or vulnerable populations required
  • Experience supervising staff strongly preferred
  • Experience providing crisis intervention services required
  • Language skills in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Farsi or other relevant client languages strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Word and Excel required
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize and track large amounts of information efficiently and accurately
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Program Oversight

- Serve as the lead for all PC-funded programming in Turlock, ensuring quality service delivery and program compliance. - Supervise ICM Caseworkers, including onboarding, task delegation, supervision, and professional development. - Maintain oversight of all active client cases, ensuring delivery of trauma-informed, strengths-based services aligned with client goals. - Conduct regular case file reviews, ensure timely and accurate data entry and documentation in compliance with donor and IRC standards. - Monitor and manage program budgets, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and organizational protocols; track expenditures and work with the Casework Programs Manager to ensure responsible financial stewardship. - Identify and support grant prospecting opportunities to expand or sustain PC programming, in collaboration with the Casework Programs Manager and development team. - Track client enrollment, progress, and outcomes in program systems; prepare reports and updates as required.

Supervision

- Meet weekly with staff to review caseloads, resolve challenges, and ensure staff are supported. - Facilitate internal team meetings and support cross-departmental collaboration. - Oversee volunteer and intern engagement for the ICM program in coordination with the volunteer coordinator. - Approve timesheets and overtime.

Community Engagement

- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with service providers, including housing agencies, healthcare providers, schools, legal aid, and others. - Represent the PC program in internal and external meetings and consultations as needed. - Represent PC in internal and external meetings when requested by Site Leads.

Direct Service

- Determine client eligibility for PC or CAPIT programming and conduct intake assessments, review program expectations, outcomes, and confidentiality with each potential client. - Develop individualized, SMART Self-sufficiency plans for each client enrolled in the ICM, SCM or CAPIT program. - Evaluate client progress every six months during active program enrollment to determine the client’s progress towards goals and work with the client to identify new needs and actions needed. - Assist clients in navigating social service systems, which may include helping clients apply for benefits and attend and schedule appointments. - Provide clients with extended orientation on a variety of topics such as developing social support networks, navigating transportation systems, and navigating the education system at the local level. - Respond to client crises, with guidance from supervisor as needed. - Assist clients with requesting financial assistance when applicable and track the received financial assistance within case files. - Maintain up-to-date documentation in client’s case file to ensure services are properly documented throughout the client’s service period; document all services provided in IRC’s database, Efforts to Outcomes (ETO).

Other Internal and/or external contacts:

Internal: Collaborates closely with Resettlement and other IRC departments to facilitate referrals and promote client success.

External: Maintains relationships with community partners, medical and mental health providers, social service agencies, school districts, and other key stakeholders

Job Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree preferred - 4+ years of related professional experience in case management, medical and insurance systems, and/or health education required. - Prior experience working in humanitarian settings, with non-profit and community-based organizations with refugees, immigrant populations or vulnerable populations required. - Experience supervising staff strongly preferred; - Experience providing crisis intervention services required; experience managing ongoing community partnerships for high-need clients strongly preferred; - Language skills in Arabic, Dari, Pashto, Farsi or other relevant client languages strongly preferred; - Previous multi-cultural experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds; - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write program updates and reports; - Strong computer skills, particularly Word and Excel required; prior experience using data and tracking systems strongly preferred; - Attention to detail and ability to organize and track large amounts of information efficiently and accurately; - Commitment to teamwork and collaboration across all of IRC’s programs; - Organized self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, manage time effectively, and navigate stressful situations; - Highly motivated with an ability to work independently, develop new classes and programming, and be a self-starter, maintaining responsibility for multiple tasks; - Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance, and the ability to travel regularly throughout the service delivery area.

Working Environment:

- Standard office work environment. - Travel to field site operations and external stakeholder meetings occasional. - Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
