Duties and Responsibilities The UN Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) constitutes the primary support structure to the Resident Coordinator (RC), the United Nations Country Team (UNCT). Led by the RC, the RCO supports the UN coherent effort and a coordinated UN response to Angola´s development priorities. This post is in United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) in Angola. The incumbent reports directly to the RCO Peace and Development Advisor and is under the overall supervision of RCO Team Strategic Planning and Team Leader and will be responsible for the following duties:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the dissemination of UN information on strategic outreach programmes and joint initiatives directed to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Agenda 2063. 2. Ensures social media clipping monitoring and analysis 3. Supports events and support to writing speeches for RC/Senior management 4. Develop with Rede Mulher, Phase II of UNOCA financed project developed and produce the related reports 5. Contribute to the management of the social media activities and website management of the UNCT and the RCO 6. Contributes to the management of the activities under the responsibility of political and the economic Advisor, including the implementation of youth related activities, stakeholder mapping and identification of entry points. 7. Assists in the preparation and drafting of relevant portions of the new UNSDCF for Angola. 8. Undertakes any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills Master's degree in international relations, communications, political science, economic science, or social science is required. Minimum 1,5 years working experience in the field of development is required Experience with the UN System is desirable.

Languages Fluency in oral and written English and Portuguese is required
