Job Overview/Summary Under the leadership of the Pharmaceutical Manager and in close coordination with the Supply Chain Team, the main role for the Pharmacist is to coordinate and monitor all medical supplies’ related activities in IRC health projects. The key responsibility of this position is to ensure the proper supply of medical supplies including medications, medical consumables, laboratory consumables and medical equipment and devices according to IRC standards. Also, to monitor medical supplies’ management system, and train the national staff if needed.

Primary Responsibilities

To ensure the ordering of medicines and medical supplies for intermediate stock commensurate with the needs of the mobile clinic and other needs in the Kharkiv project. Provide a monthly supply of medicines and medical supplies for a mobile clinic and a 15% buffer. If necessary, make an urgent order no more than once a month. Ensure that medicines and medical supplies are stored in accordance with storage requirements. This includes receiving goods; placement on shelves in accordance with the specifics of storage conditions; entering data into accounting tools in the warehouse; strict accounting of expiration dates and constant monitoring of this. Pay special attention to the storage of cold chain medicines. Monitor storage conditions such as room temperature, humidity, light shading. Maintain cleanliness of the premises, limit accessibility to persons not authorized for the warehouse. To ensure alignment with IRC’s medical supplies’ management guidelines Implement essential medical supplies management tools. Refill boxes of MMU with medicines and medical supplies for the needs of the mobile clinic based on the consumption sheet as needed. Keep track of issued medicines and medical supplies in the pharmacy tool and tracker. Ensure the correct handling of expired and/or damaged medical supplies’ products. Participate in the technical capacity building and training of IRC staff involved in handling medical supplies. Participate in the preparation of the monthly report of medical supplies management. Participate in the preparation of the annual planning and budgets of the medical supplies’ activities in IRC’s projects. Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Skills and Qualifications

1-At least bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. 2-No less than 5 year of experience working in medical supplies and/or medical warehouse. 3-To handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to be flexible in carrying out tasks and to prioritize itself. 4-Language: Fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, English will be an asset. 5-Strong attention to detail, organizational. and time management skills. 6-Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Microsoft Word, Excel); proficiency in inventory management software will be an asset.
