You have:
- Proven experience as a HR business partner, specializing in operational HR delivery within international, commercial, matrixed, and fast-paced environments across the APAC region
- A practical understanding of how to align people processes with business needs, with some exposure to strategic people initiatives
- Strong expertise in full-cycle talent acquisition – from workforce planning and pipeline building to hands-on recruitment, scheduling & onboarding
- Demonstrated experience in using ATS systems (WorkDay preferred) and leveraging platforms like LinkedIn for sourcing, advertising and performance tracking
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to build effective relationships at all levels, including with senior leaders and stakeholders
- A hands-on approach with a willingness to engage in all aspects of People Operations, from daily HR processes to workforce planning support
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills and able to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
- A proven ability to analyse, interpret and communicate complex and fast-moving information to senior stakeholders
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations and manage challenging individuals with professionalism and tact
- Excellent verbal communication, writing, researching and editing skills
- Flexible working style and ability to support in numerous jurisdictions, learn quickly, and navigate ambiguity
- Fluency in written and spoken English

Role Summary
TBI’s Operations Division supports and helps pave the way for the Institute to deliver its mission. We are comprised of Legal, Finance, Digital, Security, Technical and Resilience and People Teams. The Division develops and delivers policies and processes that drive our working practices, mirror our values, and which are aligned with our strategic objectives. We ensure that our organisational capabilities equip us to meet current and future challenges, and work closely with all parts of the Institute to ensure that its objectives are successfully met. We are seeking a People Partner – APAC to support our teams in a limited number of our operating locations in APAC and to manage recruitment across Asia Pacific (“APAC”). This is a crucial role working closely with our Head of People – APAC, TBI’s Global People team, and Regional and Country Directors to help deliver the Institute's talent strategy, be instrumental in the growth of the Institute, and support teams on a day-to-day basis. We are seeking a talented candidate with significant HR experience across international, complex and fast-paced organisations.
HR Business Partnering
- Provide strategic advice and business partner support to leaders and managers within APAC focusing on resourcing, talent management, strategic people planning, and employee relations.
- Coach on complex matters and provide a strategic HR perspective to support workforce planning and business development.
- Work closely with other People Partners across regions to ensure alignment and consistency in people strategies.
- Be proactive with SOPs related to People Operations to ensure processes are streamlined, scalable and regionally relevant.
- Build and nurture an open and progressive, bold and pragmatic, optimistic oriented culture through ongoing engagement assessment and initiatives across the region.
- Support on day-to-day people management matters, as well as the strategic direction of the business within key stakeholders.
- Oversee payroll and support the People Analyst with payroll preparation and data analysis.
- Provide expert advice on relevant employment law, emerging trends, best practice and support on implementing new legislation
- Manage and negotiate employee disputes, underperformance, disciplinary matters, and grievances while ensuring fair and effective resolution.
- Lead the annual year-end review process within countries and related activities while overseeing and supporting all performance management processes.
Talent Acquisition & Hiring
- Develop and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all open positions, including sourcing/ attracting candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews and coordinating the selection process.
- Be strategic and proactive in building & nurturing a strong talent pipeline for the APAC region, aligned with future workforce planning and growth.
- Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of recruitment – from developing role requirements to scheduling interviews, offer negotiation and pre-onboarding.
- Leverage relevant platforms (WorkDay and LinkedIn) for hiring process, advertising and reporting.
- Support Hiring Managers through interview processes and on best practice advice, working within budgets and negotiating with suitable candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process until onboarding.
- Measure performance through key metrics and continuously improving standards
