Key Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Develop and ensure adherence to Conditions of Service and other policies that comply with local regulatory environment and labor laws

2. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.

3. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.

4. Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for Board reporting.

5. Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.

6. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

7. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.

8. Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.

9. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.

10. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.

11. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier in conjunction with the Internal Auditor.

12. Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

13. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Masters or Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a reputable University or College e.g., business administration, human resources management, social sciences, business education.
  • 3+ years direct Human Resources/Management Experience in a growing/dynamic organization.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to efficiently and effectively coordinate a variety of division activities while inspiring leadership to meet and exceed specific targets and goals.
  • Proven ability to design, implement and facilitate effective, motivational and innovative training programs.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent Leadership & Motivational Skills

  • Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

  • A commitment to the development of products for economically disadvantaged clients, with a particular focus on the needs of women

  • Good computer literacy in Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Internet & others is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of French and English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of other local languages is appreciated.
  • Mature and committed Christian.
