How can you make a difference?

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of Partnerships, the Partnerships Officer will support the coordination of reporting and proposals on an interagency project in Jordan that will also include organizing joint interagency donor visits, visibility, coordination meetings, and technical working meetings. Additionally, the Partnerships Officer will support the Donor Relations Specialist and Chief of Partnerships in coordination of various fundraising channels and activities, ensuring long-term partnerships and driving revenue for the UNICEF Jordan Country Office’s programmes on behalf of vulnerable children. Specific tasks are highlighted below:

  • Interagency Programme Coordination: UNICEF is pen-holder for a multiageny (five agencies) donor action in 2022. The Partnerships Officer will be responsible for the pen-holder related tasks, including: coordination of all major reports, proposals, technical working group meetings and meeting minutes, country management team meetings and minutes, donor visits to the field, meetings with government offices, visibility, communications, and overall project coordination with the project’s donor.
  • Support Donor Relations Specialist and Reports Specialist in the production of high quality donor reports and situation reports, and support their production as needed, especially related to the Interagecy Programme.
  • Help Donor Relations Specialist maintain effective relationships with member states, UN agencies, host government and other partners, in order to keep them informed on important, strategic operational UNICEF issues.
  • Attend meetings with the UN and other multilateral bodies, NGOs, member states, taking notes, sharing information, and supporting joint information programmes to increase UNICEF’s profile, and protect its interests.
  • Contribute to ideas for opportunities to develop new and existing synergies with other UN agencies to senior external partnership officers in order to support a more effective and efficient approach to programme delivery
  • Assist with the preparation of information to provide to donors, including PowerPoints, concept notes and briefs for meetings with donors.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure the success of the partnerships team.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: An University Degree in one of the following areas: international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required : public affairs, programme management, resource mobilization, external relations, or other relevant area.

Language requirement: Fluency in English is required with knowledge of Arabic considered as an asset.
