The SDG AI Lab is a joint initiative of UNDP BPPS (Bureau for Policy and Programme Support) team, and it is hosted under UNDP ICPSD. The SDG AI Lab provides research, development, and advisory support through cutting-edge digital solutions in harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for sustainable development. The Lab aims to strengthen the UNDP’s internal and its partners’ capacities for the increasing demand for digital transformation. UNDP ICPSD SDG AI Lab and the United Nations Volunteers programme (UNV) are partnering for Tech Volunteers for Resilience Programme. The primary aim of this initiative is to build and manage a dynamic community of tech volunteers, to foster readiness and enhance resilience for emergencies in a disaster situation. The capacity will help contributing to other humanitarian issues including environmental advocacy, climate change, sustainable food systems, social protection of adolescence and youth, movement of populations/displacement, gender equality, and digital transformation. The Partnerships Analyst will develop partnership strategy, manage relations with partners/donors and outreach activities of the initiative.

Under the direct supervision of UNDP ICPSD Technical Specialist, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

•Identify and establish of critical partnerships with UN agencies, governmental agencies, NGOs, and private sector. •Develop and implement systematic resource mobilization and funding strategy plan. •Conduct needs assessment of UN, private sector and NGOs. •Facilitate the management of information flows between the partners. •Promote cooperation and networking arrangements towards fulfilment of the pro-gramme goals. •Prepare knowledge management products such as concepts notes, methodologies, briefs, reports, communication materials and other documents. •Support communication, advocacy and outreach activities and events for their imple-mentation in line with the respective guidelines of UNDP. •Participate in meetings, provide administrative support and draft meeting reports. •Provide any other relevant support to the supervisor related to project aims, through performing other duties.
•Support creation of the volunteer pool and community building activities.

Furthermore, UN Volunteers are required to:

•Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteerism by reading relevant UNV and external publications and take active part in UNV activities (for in-stance in events that mark International Volunteer Day); •Be acquainted with and build on traditional and/or local forms of volunteerism in the host country; •Reflect on the type and quality of voluntary action that they are undertaking, including participation in ongoing reflection activities; •Contribute articles/write-ups on field experiences and submit them for UNV publica-tions/websites, newsletters, press releases, etc.; •Assist with the UNV Buddy Programme for newly-arrived UN Volunteers; •Promote or advise local groups in the use of online volunteering, or encourage relevant local individuals and organizations to use the UNV Online Volunteering service whenever technically possible.

sustainable development, research, partnership management and stakeholder engagement. •Demonstrated interest and or experience in exploring and applying innovative, outside the box thinking approaches with utilizing digital transformation, innovation, volunteerism, private sector engagement, entrepreneurship, and/or South-South Cooperation; •Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, vol-unteer work, internship) would be highly regarded; •Previous experience in international development, partnerships, outreach activities, and/or project management and coordination would be an asset.
