socialprotection.org is set to launch the 8th session of the Ambassadors Programme in May 2021! Selected online volunteers will be focused on key activities for socialprotection.org: e-courses, blog posts, content mapping and social media. Ambassadors are expected to collaborate with the platform by completing and sending feedback on the micro-courses produced by the platform, publishing their writing as blogs, mapping COVID-19 content related to their regions and supporting social media campaigns, enhancing the visibility of their work and of socialprotection.org’s. Those who successfully participate will have their profiles featured on socialprotection.org and receive a certificate issued by the Online Volunteering platform, as well as certificates for the e-courses completed.

    socialprotection.org is an online, member-based, knowledge-sharing and capacity-building platform hosted by the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth (IPC-IG), which is based in Brasilia, Brazil. The platform directs free access to the most up-to-date and comprehensive content on social protection, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries. Its far-reaching content includes publications, webinars, e-courses, news, events, and programme profiles, to name a few. Socialprotection.org is also home to a global community of social protection practitioners, besides featuring a Blog section dedicated to social protection topics. Objectives: • To promote the socialprotection.org platform; • To promote engagement with the platform and its features; • To promote the dissemination of socialprotection.org's content through social media; • To increase the visibility of socialprotection.org within the Ambassador’s region and network; • To ensure content representing the Ambassador’s regional and thematic interests is available on the platform.

  • Volunteers: 25 needed

  • 1-5 hours per week / 19 weeks

    Requirements: Excellent computer skills; Fluency in English; Reliable internet and laptop access; Active social media profiles (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and/or Twitter). Will be considered assets: Knowledge of social protection policies and programmes; Experience in blog writing, copy-editing or research is an asset; Experience in communications and/or social media.
