And we never give up.

For every child, commitment

The UNICEF Global Network of Employees with Disabilities, an independent, peer-led employee resource group (ERG) within UNICEF, was founded in late 2019, with the following objectives:

  1. Provide confidential space to voice the concerns of UNICEF employees with disabilities
  2. Help and act as peer support for one another – this includes support for employees with disabilities who are at different points on the ‘disability journey’ (e.g. self-identity, disclosure and decision about whether to make our disability public, confidence in requesting accommodation, especially for those with newly acquired or newly diagnosed disabilities)
  3. Act in an advisory role within UNICEF on the experience of employees with disabilities
  4. Provide feedback to DHR on policies and procedures affecting employees with disabilities
  5. Act as a community and provide an organising platform to convene employees with disabilities to advocate to the rest of the organisation on disability inclusion and on issues for people with disabilities in general
  6. Raise awareness and visibility within each office about employees working with disabilities, our needs and what we contribute
