You have:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Human Resources management, and/or administration
  • Technical skills in managing compensation and benefits
  • (I)NGO experience is preferred
  • Excellent skill in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience using an online system for recruitments
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • University degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Social Science Degree specializing in Human Resources or equivalent professional qualification

Human Resources and Administration Officer

Employment band: H - Non-manager

National Contract

Overall purpose of the role

To provide Human Resources and administrative assistance to DRC staff, in compliance with DRC's and local guidelines and procedures

Geographic scope: Count****ry

This role has a country focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the country. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or technical guidance to country operations while overseeing country activities.

Main responsibilities

General Human Resources tasks • Advise and assist management and employees in Human Resources related issues and concerns • Review Human Resources processes and suggests improvements

Recruitment and contracts

• Support with all phases of recruitment • Draft new and renewed contracts and other personnel-related issues with special attention to compensation and benefits

• Prepare and update briefing/induction packages for new staff and oversee/coordinate the induction process

Compensations & benefits • Review the staff payrolls provided by out external accountancy services, and ensure onward submission to finance department • Ensure that all relevant deductions are effected on a monthly basis

• Prepare, advice and oversee staff leaves and absences. • Prepare and submit required reports on a monthly basis for auditing purposes • Ensure that records of all Human Resources related information is kept and sent on timely basis to relevant parties

• Focal point for the liaison with Health Insurance Company on all related issues

Development, people planning, recruitment and well-being • Ensure that the performance appraisal process is conducted, and that there are learning and development opportunities available to the employee • Assist in inducting training on Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Conflict of Interest, etc. as needed • Assist in people planning activities (e.g. ensure job descriptions are in place for all roles) • Assist or drive people well-being initiatives

Administration

  • Assist the Head of Services in the management of administrative tasks of Mexico City office
  • Coordinate the organization of field visits for external visitors in terms of housing and transport
  • Ensure than onboarding and exit procedures are made for all staff in coordination with Logistics and Safety Department
  • Support the international staff on coordinating the arrivals, end of missions and housing.
  • Support on visas and work permits to the reallocated staff and the international staff

    Required education

University degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or Social Science Degree specializing in Human Resources or equivalent professional qualification
