OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme aims to support the expansion of universal health coverage through improving service delivery and efficiency through strengthening human resources, and the health financing system and digital health in Tunisia.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1) Guide and coordinate evidence generation around primary health care reforms, includingon models of service delivery for different parts of the country, referrals from the primary level to other providers, operational issues in hospitals on quality and patient safety,hospital management and efficiency and on using cost data to improve decision-making.2) Disseminate and promote evidence -based on technical guidance developed by WHO and contribute to its adaptation to the national contributes to technical discussion with MoH and partners around Health system strengthening.3) Coordinate in collaboration with MOH on the implementation of patient safety and qualityof care programmed for hospitals4) Facilitate technical discussions with the MOH and other stakeholders on reforms in theareas of primary health care and hospital care5) Support consultants work on digital health, as directed by the Health Systems Adviser6) Coordinate technical reports on relevant topics with counterparts in EMRO and WHO Geneva7) Represent WHO in meetings and relevant missions as appropriate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: University degree in public health, epidemiology, economics, international development, life sciences, or public administration. Desirable: Studies in public health and/or health related field.

Experience

Essential: At least 2 years' experience in areas of health systems or public health Desirable: Experience managing health facilities or health programmes

Skills

  1. Excellent communication and drafting skills.2. Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.3. Understand challenging and multidisciplinary settings.4. Good knowledge of Tunisian health system, policies and programmes.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at TND 56,027 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
