OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme aims to support the expansion of universal health coverage through improving service delivery and efficiency through strengthening human resources, and the health financing system and digital health in Tunisia.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1) Collect and analyze data on service delivery for primary health services, including benefit packages, the use and management of human resources in health facilities as well as organizational aspects related to care processes.2) Support in data collection, compilation, and analysis of referrals of patient pathways between primary health services to referral levels of the health system (secondary andtertiary levels of care).3) Arrange for and compile material and reports on relevant international experience around primary health care reforms and the applicability of these approaches in Tunisia4) Participate and contribute effectively in Ministry of Health discussions around reforms of primary care.5) Conduct situational analysis and make recommendations on actions to be taken.Technically review health trends and undertake gap analysis in relevant health system areas,as directed.6) Represent WHO in meetings and relevant missions as appropriate.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: First University degree in public health, epidemiology, economics, international development, lifesciences, or public administration. Desirable: Specialization in health system would be an asset

Experience

Essential: At least 1 year experience in areas of health systems or public health Desirable: Working experience with UN or previous international experience.

Skills

1. Excellent communication and drafting skills.2. Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.3. Understand challenging and multidisciplinary settings.4. Good knowledge of international experience in primary health care reforms

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at TND 48,299 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
