UNESCO is implementing a project titled “Empowering Yemeni youth towards peace: ensuring access to information and participation” managed by the Communication and Information Unit. Through an inclusive and participatory approach, this 18-months project aims to empower the youth with the skills, knowledge and tools to create information, content and dialogue in support of the peace-building process. The project aims to reconnect youth in Yemen with the peace-building process, by raising their voices, fostering the free flow of information and having a two-way communication. This will be done by improving access to information for youth on the peace- building process so they can increase their knowledge and make informed decisions. In parallel, the project wants to also provide young Yemenis with safe spaces of dialogue, including social media, online surveys, youth debates and radio programmes to voice their needs and opinions with decision-makers and duty bearers. In this framework, the project will be conducing 6 online surveys and social media listening projects to understand youth priorities and narratives on peace-building. - **The consultant** **will be tasked to convert the data of the 6 online surveys and 6 social media listening into communication material targeting local and international stakeholders to convey Yemeni Youth priorities and narratives on peace-building.** The consultant will be tasked to produce and design institutional booklets to convey the results of each survey to local and international stakeholders, as well as to develop and design a newsletter that will be linked to the booklets production and content. **Communication material will be both in English and Arabic.** Long Description **Tasks and Expected Outputs** Under the overall authority of the Director of the Office and the supervision of the Communication and Information Programme assistant, the consultant will perform the following tasks: **Task 1. Design and produce 6 comprehensive institutional digital booklets of up to 15 pages, including infographics and illustrations, that will be ready to be shared with local and international stake holders.** - UNESCO will provide the consultant with the data as well as raw analytic report in Arabic prepared by its implementing partner. The consultant will have to translate the raw data, provide an analysis of the data and develop reports to present the finding of the surveys and social listening activities to the targeted audience. Those reports shall be in line with the project communication strategy and with the UNESCO´s communication and visibility guidelines. - The booklets should be produced in two versions : an Arabic and an English version. - UNESCO will provide the consultant with logos and guidance concerning the expected outlook of the graphic designs based on project focus. - The graphic designer will be expected to provide **at least three design options to UNESCO as a first draft**. Once graphic design has been validated by UNESCO, the graphic designer will be expected to submit the same graphic for all collaterals, in corresponding sizes. **Task 2. Develop and design a newsletter, linked to the booklets, to be shared with local and international stake holders as well as UNESCO’s partners.** - At least 6 newsletters must be developed and designed. At least two design options for each newsletter should be submitted to UNESCO GCC and Yemen office as a first draft. - UNESCO will be responsible for sharing the newsletter with its partners as well as local and international stakeholders. - The newsletter should be in both English and Arabic.
