Serve as classroom facilitator for Financial Literacy workshops.
You have:
- Public speaking and presentation skills, and comfort with leading a classroom environment.
- Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to design lesson plans and adapt curriculum to meet client needs.
- Experience in data management and case file tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry systems.
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation preferred.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in additional languages spoken by refugee populations preferred but not required (Dari/Farsi, Ukrainian, Arabic, Burmese, Swahili, French, and Spanish).
- Serve as classroom facilitator for Financial Literacy workshops, covering 5 topics: Budgeting, Banking, Credit, Taxes, & Car Purchasing - Track & log attendance for weekly Financial Literacy workshops - Engage students in the IRC Youth Department’s Youth Futures & Connect 2 Success Program clients on financial literacy topics - Assist unbanked and underbanked clients in opening checking and/or savings accounts, including for clients enrolled in matched savings programming - Support IRC Financial Coaches by conducting intake tasks with clients engaging in 1:1 financial coaching with IRC Atlanta’s Economic Empowerment programming - Provide coaching support & technical assistance to financial literacy workshop clients seeking credit-builder loan assistance or IOM repayment assistance - Refer financial literacy workshop clients to relevant IRC Atlanta programs based on client needs - Complete IRC’s Financial Coaching Training - Meet with immediate supervisor on a weekly basis to review activities & collaborate on classroom planning - Participate in the Financial Capability Program’s weekly staff meeting & the Economic Empowerment Team’s bi-weekly staff meeting - Design promotional content for Financial Capability programs and services - Conduct research on other accessible products and programs for clients in need of services covering credit building/repair, tax preparation, debt management, entry-level bank accounts, insurance, and other financial capability areas
