OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

L'objectif general de l'Initiative mondiale contre le cancer infantile est d'ameliorer de maniere mesurable les resultats et de reduire les souffrances des enfants en renforcant la capacite des Etats Membres a accroitre l'acces aux soins, conformement au 13eme Programme general de travail de l'OMS et conformement aux engagements politiques pris par les Etats membres, y compris l'Agenda des Nations Unies pour le developpement durable.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  1. Servir de responsable technique dans le bureau de pays de l'OMS pour la prise en charge du cancer infantile ; repondre aux requetes et fournir des informations detaillees et techniques sur les principes, pratiques, problemes, mesures, techniques et procedures connexes.2. Fournir des appuis techniques et soutenir la mise en œuvre et l'adaptation des produits pour repondre aux besoins du pays ; suivre les progres de la mise en œuvre grace a des contacts reguliers avec le ministere de la Sante et les homologues nationaux ainsi que les autres parties prenantes.3. Reunir les parties prenantes et des agences des Nations Unies ainsi que des experts nationaux pour soutenir la mise en œuvre du programme.4. Organiser des consultations nationales et faciliter l'engagement des partenaires strategiques pour mettre en place une structure de gouvernance nationale pour le cancer infantile.Effectuer toute autre activite assignee par le Representant de l'OMS.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Diplome universitaire dans un domaine lie a la sante, en sante publique ou en sciences sociales avec specialisation post-universitaire en pediatrie ou dans un domaine lie au cancer. Desirable: Maitrise en sante publique.

Experience

Essential: Minimum de 5 ans d'experience professionnelle pratique dans les programmes de lutte contre les MNT au niveau regional ou national. Une experience de travail dans le domaine du cancer et / ou du cancer infantile sera un avantage. Desirable: Experience de travail avec les Nations Unies, les organisations bilaterales ou d'autres organisations multilaterales dans le pays.

Skills

• Connaissance et experience de la planification, de la gestion de projet, de la mise en œuvre, du suivi et de l'evaluation des programmes de lutte contre le cancer, de prevention et de controle des MNT et dans les domaines connexes.• Experience et aptitude a travailler avec le gouvernement et d'autres partenaires d'une maniere efficace; capacite de plaidoyer, de negociation et d'etablissement de partenariats.• Expertise technique en sante publique.• Capacite a travailler efficacement avec des collegues aux niveaux national, sous-national et au sein de l'OMS• Excellentes competences ecrites et orales, y compris la capacite d'analyser des donnees complexes, de les resumer et de les communiquer a un large eventail de publics et de cultures.• Bonnes competences interpersonnelles, de coordination, de facilitation et de leadership avec la capacite de motiver et de transmettre l'enthousiasme aux collegues et aux publics cibles.

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at XOF 29,672,000 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
