Purpose of Activity/Assignment:

Supporting critical administration tasks to ensure successful operation of the WASH section in South Sudan, based in Juba.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The consultant performs administrative functions for filling, meeting arrangements, vehicle bookings, collation of WASH supply end-user reporting, and supporting the section KPI monitoring for partnership monitoring track.

Duties and responsibilities of WASH consultant

  • Organize workshops, including coordination with vendors, partners, and staff for logistics
  • Manage travel arrangements for government partners
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and document and disseminate meeting summaries with assigned action items and follow-up issues
  • Maintain the database of WASH files, including online systems
  • Develop tracking tools as defined by needs to improve internal processes
  • Regular update on the partnership programme document and WASH services contracts tracking and monitoring matrix and follow up with field team to ensure payments are made on time.
  • Coordinated with WASH field team to support local consultants by facilitating the smooth implementation of data collection exercise on the distribution of chlorine tablets in NBeG, Warrap, and Lakes.
  • Update the Release Order tracker weekly- (release of supplies to the partners).
  • Monitor and tracking of the pending final partnership review of WASH partners
  • Monitor and update the programmatic visit tracking sheet for the WASH.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support end-user monitoring of WASH supplies distributed to beneficiaries and document the good practice and recommended areas that require immediate attention

Minimum Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Social Science or related field
  • In lieu of the Bachelor degree, Diploma in related field will be considered with over 3 years’ experience
  • 2 years’ experience in related field

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • Microsoft Office suite, data collection, management, and analysis
  • Good understanding of Juba Arabic

Language Requirements:

  • Good speaking and writing skills in English

Good understanding of Juba Arabic

Payment Schedule

Payment will be done upon delivery of key task and submission of all necessary reports as stipulated in the detailed in the vacancy announcement.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. The candidate may also be subject to inoculation (vaccination) requirements, including against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid).
