Monitoring Evaluation Research and Learning Graduate Intern

The primary objective of this internship is to give recent graduates experience and exposure in the practical aspects of their respective areas of study.

Key responsibilities

  • Assists in project data collection and verification.
  • Conducts data capturing of project registers and related documents.
  • Provides technical input during implementation and reviewing of project activities.
  • Carries out regular project field visits to ensure implementation of quality programs and produces field visit reports.
  • Creates and manages project information system such as beneficiary data base and project photo bank.
  • Document success stories, lessons learned and best practices for sharing with key stakeholders including donors as well for learning, scaling-up and proposal development for future projects.
  • Assist project team in conducting trainings and capacity building of project committees on project management.
  • Support project staff in compilation and review of regular reports.
  • Filing project documents as per project requirements.
  • Participates in project evaluations.
  • Participates in developing proposals for future projects.
  • Capacitates project staff in MERL initiatives and research works
  • Promotes and abides by Plan policies and procedures including but not limited to: Gender equality mainstreaming, Child Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and the related mandatory reporting responsibilities.

Entry qualifications and experience

  • Recent Degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation or equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows/Office environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
