Job Overview/Summary Under the supervision of the Health Coordinator and the Sr Primary Health Manager, the Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) senior officer will oversee the implementation, management and supervision of IRC's MMUs that provide vital primary health services to conflict-affected populations, both IDP and host community populations, to help prevent avoidable morbidity and mortality as part of a multisectoral response including mental health. He/she will be responsible for monitoring mobile health activities and medical supplies in supported projects and will develop unique health facility improvement plans and prioritized action plans that address gaps identified during the needs assessment and align with IRC's Health Strategy and Priorities. He/she will regularly review service supervision summary data and mentoring reports to improve the quality of services provided and adapt capacity development and training plans.

Primary Responsibilities Technical Assist the Sr Primary Health Manager and Health Coordinator in implementing, managing and supervising the IRC MMUs in line with the IRC health strategy, projects and plans. Conduct rapid need assessments to determine health needs in various locations for potential response as required. Conduct regular field visits to MMUs locations to oversee daily activities and ensure all services are carried out as per clinical guidelines and are meeting IRC’s standards. Assist in the MEAL activities of the MMUs through supervision, data collection and collecting clients’ feedback to ensure the quality of program is maintained. Supervise data registration and collection in the MMUs, ensuring data is entered into the database. Collate and disseminate weekly and monthly reports to meet the reporting requirements and deadlines set by IRC, as well as by the Donors. Supervise the MMUs teams’ members’ daily work, ensuring a high-quality performance, and correct documentation and reporting. Collect and compile project data regularly, including statistical reports, case studies, and success stories. Assist in timely ordering, storage, and distribution of all necessary medicines, supplies and equipment for the MMUs teams. Staff Management Facilitate regular team meetings with the MMU teams, ensuring that team members are informed of issues affecting their work and are given the opportunity to provide feedback. Responsible for the development of the medical team and the professional development program, achieving the set goals. Coordination Represent the IRC at relevant local coordination meetings with local authorities, UN agencies and other local and international NGOs, attend Health Cluster meetings and technical working groups. Coordinate and liaise between the Health IRC team members and other IRC teams to ensure that all health program objectives are met. Ensure continuity of care by establishing an effective referral system to higher levels of hospitals and clinics. Staff Safety and Security Ensure MMUs staff understand IRC security standard operating procedures and contingency plans. Always comply with IRC security procedures, remaining aware of the security situation in the MMUs locations and report any security incidents or concerns to the security focal point.

Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in health-related discipline At least 2 years of post-qualification work experience in a relevant field is required. Previous experience in health programs and NGO experience are preferred. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it effectively to diverse audiences. English - written communication skills preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational. and time management skills. Willingness and ability to travel independently domestically. Computer proficiency in Windows environment (Microsoft Word, Excel).
