Job Description

Job Overview:

The Matching Grant Program Supervisor is responsible for effectively administering employment services to assist refugees, asylees, and SIVs with significant barriers and vulnerabilities to attain self-sufficiency through employment. The Matching Grant Supervisor will ensure that clients are linked with the appropriate social service, employment, educational, health care and transitional income providers in a timely manner; ensure provision of specialized services as needed, conduct both regular and random case file reviews, and coordinate and manage the daily operations of the Matching Grant program including enrollment, case file maintenance, outreach and volunteer recruitment, match collection and reporting.

Client Services

- Oversee staff, interns and volunteers providing job placement and support services to clients enrolled in Matching Grant employment program. - Provides intake, assessment and orientation to clients eligible for MG services. - Develops comprehensive, detailed, and specific self-sufficiency plans for each employable adult. - Identifies client barriers to employment and provides referrals to appropriate in-house or community providers. - Provide one-on-one career counseling; this includes helping develop a career pathway, helping clients identify and enroll in necessary trainings, and supporting job search activities; - Monitors each client’s self-sufficiency plan and progress and conducts periodic reviews of employment and self-sufficiency plans to ensure client is on track in reaching their self-sufficiency within the program timeframe. - Request, manage, and distribute direct assistance to clients. - Liaise with IRC teams to ensure coordination of care and multi-disciplinary approaches are used to address client barriers. - Provides ongoing coaching to clients to ensure ownership of employment goals. - Uses personal vehicle as a mode of transport for both self and clients to various job responsibilities in and around the service delivery area. - Participates in all program meetings, and staff development and wellness activities. - Complies with all policies, procedures and protocols of the agency.

- Monitors and tracks client progress in addressing barriers and reaching employment goals. - Gathers required documentation and data for client case files to assist supervisor in case closeout procedures. - Coordinate with finance department to ensure direct assistance is correctly distributed and recorded - Inputs and tracks client progress through ETO, IRIS, and State of Arizona employment tracking system. - Ensures timely and accurate compliance to all reporting requirements, including database management, case noting, and file maintenance.

Positions Supervises: MG Employment Specialist, AmeriCorps, Interns and Volunteers

Indirect Reporting:

- Internal IRC HQ: MG Program

Job Requirements:

- Undergraduate Degree in social services closely related field or its equivalent.

- Knowledge of service provider community and local resources. - Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment. - Proven ability to contribute both independently and as a key team member. - Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual ability in a language spoken by the local refugee population is desired. - Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle with current insurance. - Previous multi-cultural experience and demonstrated ability to communicate well with people of varied backgrounds strongly preferred. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make presentations required. - Experience using data and fiscal tracking systems strongly preferred.

Working Environment:

- Both standard office work environment and field work driving in and around the client service delivery area; prolonged periods of sitting at computer terminals.
