Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

For more than 20 years, UNV has supported UN partners, governments, and civil society organizations (CSOs) through its Online Volunteering (OV) service. The service is provided free of charge to all eligible organizations and allows them to connect with volunteers from around the world to team up and tackle sustainable human development challenges.

To ensure collaborations enabled through the OV service stay within the universal reach and neutrality of the United Nations, UNV requires non-UN entities to have undergone a due diligence clearance by either the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) or UN country teams (see our eligibility criteria for organizations under: https://explore.unv.org/ov-eligibility).

To allow more CSOs to register on our platform and benefit from the OV service and overall offer, we would like to engage Online Volunteers to explore further options for due diligence clearance.

We are looking for 4 online volunteers to support the UNV Online Volunteering Service Team in identifying possible regional organizations and unions and their due diligence or specific processes they use in order to register or partner with a Civil Society Organization (CSO) within the region.

This is going to be a mapping exercise. Online Volunteers will conduct the mapping of the assigned organization/union and are expected to fill in necessary information in an Excel document including the information on the CSO and its due diligence processes.

Online Volunteers will be requested to join two meetings with UNV Online Volunteering Service Team members (one at the beginning of the task, one towards the end – exact date & time to be communicated later) where they will be reporting their findings and having the opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas.

Online Volunteers will be asked to support on this assignment starting from January 2023 (exact date & time to be communicated later with shortlisted/selected candidates).
