The Role:

The Manager, Vocational Skills Development Expert will lead and oversee the implementation of vocational skills training and youth development programs within Plan International Bangladesh. This role is critical in empowering children, particularly girls and young women, by providing them with the skills and opportunities necessary for employment and entrepreneurship. The Manager will ensure that vocational training programs are effectively executed, maintain high standards of quality, and align with Plan International's mission of advancing children's rights and equality for girls. This position demands strong technical expertise, extensive experience in the TVET sector, and the ability to foster strategic partnerships and community engagement.

What we’re looking for:

We need a self-motivated and energetic individual with Master’s Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Business Studies, Anthropology, Development Studies, or other relevant disciplines. Along with Minimum 10 years of working experience in the field of youth development and specific experience in skills training programs/TVET sector. He/she should have proven professional development in the delivery or management of skills development projects with minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager of technical skills development projects. Also, extensive professional knowledge on TVET, wage and self-employment, including enterprise development, youth participation, life skills, and community engagement. Should be an expert in management and technical support of vocational training center operations, and providing technical support for different vocational training models, TVET pedagogy, and development of tracking management systems. Should have the ability to represent the program and maintain good working relationships among international and local NGOs, relevant development agencies, community leadership structures, community-based organizations, and visiting donor teams. He/she should be competent in overseeing the completion of all technical requirements, including project results and deliverables, in accordance with the project work plan. Should also have proficiency in report writing, data analysis for decision-making, and participation in strategic planning processes, proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks, along with the development of comprehensive contingency plans. Also demonstrate proficiency in standard office software applications and familiarity with project management tools and software for efficient resource allocation and reporting.
