Overview of the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Human Resources department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing HR processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and implementing strategies to streamline HR operations for maximum efficiency.

Overview for Operations

The Operations team helps manage the everyday functions of the organization. They work and work with multiple partners including Donors, Partners, Government agencies, Statutory bodies, Trustees, Vendors, and Consultants by providing support at all range of operational activities. The operations team is a core function and support all the program teams in planning and controlling costs, maximize efficiency and properly allocating resources without any hurdles, whereas the program could focus on developing high quality research documents, plans and implement the program deliverable for the community at large. This is an important part of defining the operations department's goals.

WRI operations team consists of multiple responsibilities such as Budget and Finance, Grants and Contracts, Legal Counsel, Accounting, Audit and General management. You will come under the scope of operations and each function lead reports to the Director Operations and Director Operations report to the CEO of the Organization. We manage our endowment, the contributions entrusted to us, and our facilities in ways that are following our values and promote our mission. We maintain strict parameters for risk management and internal financial controls to ensure that all contributions are managed following all the Regulatory and Funder requirements.

How your day will unfold

  • Manage the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding processes.
  • Support, Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
  • Handle staff inquiries, grievances, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application of institute policies.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at local, state levels. Responsible for end-to-end HR audits.
  • Manage HRIS systems, updates, and optimize technology to streamline HR processes.
  • Manage employee benefits programs & data related health insurance.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure seamless onboarding experience to new staff.
  • Track HR metrics and prepare reports on key HR indicators for management review.

Qualifications & requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • 9-10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and proficiency in HR software applications.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

Salary and Benefits: 1500000-1800000 INR CTC Per annum

Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package.

Duration: 1 years as term hire (extendable based on performance and project requirements)

Location: Delhi

Start date: As soon as possible.
