The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide and has its headquarters in Bonn-Germany. UNV contributes to peace and development by advocating for recognition of volunteers, working with partners to integrate volunteerism into development programming, and mobilizing an increasing number and diversity of volunteers, including experienced UN Volunteers, throughout the world. The Multi-Country Field Unit (MCFU) in Pretoria is mainly accountable for the mobilization and placement of UN Volunteers in UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes in 5 countries, namely South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, and Botswana, focused on peace, development and humanitarian needs. The MCFU represents and positions UNV in the respective countries and brings UNV’s services and solutions closer to its partners from governments, UN entities, civil society, and private sector

We are looking for the support of 2 creative volunteers to help with maintenance and management of the MCFUs webpage. Under the supervision and guidance of the UNV Multi Country Coordinator. The Online volunteers will support with: • Maintaining and managing of the MCFU’s webpage (posting and creating content). • Create blogs and amplifying social media messages. • Support with publications to be placed on the website. • Drafting /reviewing of impact stories and newsletters for the webpage. • Providing support in the development of reports, briefing notes, meeting minutes, and other communication materials to be requested and placed on the website. • The selected Online Volunteer(s) will be provided with information and material relevant and necessary to perform the task.
