Overview

Ensure effective logistics support for training under TPP in Cambodia.

You have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent such as a technical or vocational certificate in logistics, transportation, supply management, business administration or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, contract management, logistics support for training programmes or related area is required.
  • Fluency in English and Khmer is required.
  • Knowledge of customs processes for the shipment of goods will be an advantage.
  • Previous work with TPP will be an advantage.

Result of Service

The assignment will ensure: • Up-to-date records, effective control, maintenance, and handover of project assets and consumables. • Expeditious and efficient processing of requests from training teams. • Accurate and up-to-date records of approved support requests and expenditures. • Effective liaison with potential vendors and partners of the Programme. • Successful conduct of all courses. • Smooth closure of TPP training in Cambodia.

Work Location

Kampong Speu, Cambodia.

Expected duration

28Sep-27Dec2026. The contract may be extended for up to one additional month, if required, to support potential shipment of TPP items out from Cambodia and closure activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

This requirement is for a logistics assistant in support of training under the United Nations Department of Operational Support Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) to enhance capabilities for peacekeeping. TPP will conduct an Engineering Project Management Course, a Heavy Engineering Equipment (HEE) Training of Trainers course, Explosive Hazard Awareness Training (EHAT), and a Field Medical Assistant Course from 5 October through 18 December 2026 at the Training School for Multinational Peacekeeping Forces at Kampong Speu, Cambodia. Under the direct supervision of the TPP Team and the Programme representative at the training school in Kampong Speu, the Logistics Assistant will perform the following duties and responsibilities • Coordinate logistics requirements for all courses. • Maintain a record of TPP assets and stores covering receipt, inspection, and issuing of items. This may include liaison with ESCAP's Property Management Unit during the engagement period. • Compile all requests for training materials, transport, and fuel, and submit them to the TPP representative at the training location for approval. • Provide training support, including printing training materials and video recording training in conjunction with the training school. • Assist with customs processes for the shipment of TPP items from Cambodia to Thailand, as required. • Establish a working relationship with the Cambodia National Centre for Peacekeeping Force Mine and ERW Clearance (NPMEC) and with relevant staff at the training school.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English and Khmer is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
