You have:
- University degree preferable in agriculture, nutrition, social sciences, development studies or another relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within LFS, ideally working at either Officer, Technical Officer or Team Leader level, in a humanitarian or early recovery context.
- Experience working with humanitarian organizations (local or national NGOs), private sector, donors, or international agencies.
- Strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills.
- Strong analysis skills (qualitative and quantitative).
- Goal orientated, with ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision.
- Good computer skills.
- Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Fluency in Ukrainian essential, Russian desirable, but not essential.
- Adequate working English (written and verbal).
- Willingness to work in demanding, stressful situations with respect for basic security rules.
Contract
This is a Professional contract (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract (NRC) contracts.
This position is open to candidates who have the legal right to work in Ukraine. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships for this position.

1.Role and responsibilities
The purpose of the Technical Officer position is to support LFS Coordinator in the day to day implementation of the LFS Core Competency (CC) Project(s).
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks & SOPs
- Implement delegated LFS portfolio according to plans of action
- Implement LFS Country Strategy
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by Line Manager or Management
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Ensure projects target beneficiaries most in need
- Share ideas for technical improvement.
Specific responsibilities
- Support LFS Coordinator in timely and quality implementation of LFS project(s) in North AO
- Support preparation, and participate in technical Assessments
- Contribute to inclusion of Cash-based interventions and Market based approaches in LFS CC, where appropriate
- Support distribution of Emergency Agri-Livestock inputs via Cash Transfers
- Support distribution of productive assets restoration grants via Cash & Voucher (CVA) modality
- Support implementation of LFS Early Recovery interventions in targeted areas
- Ensure projects are directed to target population, as defined in LFS Strategy through clear and timely sensitisation of planned activities to communities
- Participate in field-level coordination with community stakeholders, including when requested to participate in Sub-Cluster LFS meetings
- Support in market price monitoring, market assessments, when requested
- Liaise and collaborate with local authorities, technical ministries and other key stakeholders
- Work with a Gender and Protection lens and ensure that environmental and nutritional sensitivity are incorporated into LFS activities
- Collaborate across other CCs to ensure Integrated Programming, including working with local partners
- Ensure relevant documentation of LFS Project(s) recorded and filed [e.g. Reconciliation of Deliverables]
- Supervise, train and capacity build any LFS Officers, Assistants that may be hired
- Assist with any other duties assigned by Line Manager when required.
