About NRC North West Myanmar
The NRC Northwest Myanmar area of operations covers Central Rakhine and Northern Rakhine in Myanmar. NRC maintains an Area Office in Sittwe and a sub-offices in Maungdaw.
NRC provides needs based protection to conflict and displacement affected populations in Northwest Myanmar through an integrated programming comprising of Education, Information Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Shelter & Settlements, Livelihoods, Camp Management, and Protection. NRC seeks to address the varied and complex needs faced by IDPs, returnees and affected host populations through complementary programming involving direct implementation, strategic partnerships and consortia, advocacy and referrals.
About the role
The purpose of the Livelihoods and Food Security Coordinator position is to coordinate the implementation of delegated Livelihoods and Food Security (LFS) Core Competency project portfolio in Northern Rakhine State. The position holder is expected to follow NRC’s standards, procedures, and guideline for project governance applicable to the particular projects. S/he is also responsible for the overall planning and coordination of all LFS interventions within the LFS CC or across other CCs.
Generic responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement LFS projects according to strategy, proposals and plans
- Ensure adherence to NRC policies and donor requirements
- Develop annual activity and work plans
- Supervision, training and development of CC staff
- Promote and share ideas for improvement and necessary changes in activities
- Cooperate with relevant partners and local authorities
- Organize trainings for the CC team, relevant partners and beneficiaries
- Monthly activity/project reports and other reporting as required
- Ensure proper filing of all project documents
About you
- Experience from working as Project Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Experience with managing budgets and staff
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Fluency in local languages
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Expect to abide by Code of Conduct, education and security policies within NRC
- Bachelor’s Degree
