Providing procedural and legal support to the various programme sectors in charge of the secretariats of institutional bodies monitoring conventions. - Participating in the provision of secretariat services to the Committee on Conventions and Recommendations of the Executive Board, in the framework of its two complementary components (monitoring of the implementation of UNESCO’s standard-setting instruments and examination of communications relating to cases and matters concerning the exercise of human rights in UNESCO’s fields of competence) and to the Legal Committee of the General Conference, including in its action as credentials committee. - Drafting legal opinions on internal regulations and rules relevant to the management policy of UNESCO’s Headquarters, including the decisions of the Headquarters Committee of the General Conference thereon, and reviewing contracts submitted to the Contracts Committee and the Headquarters Committee. - Contributing to the delivery of information, mainly through the Legal Affairs website of the Organization, concerning all the activities linked to the Office of International Standards and Legal Affairs. - Performing any activity that may be required to ensure success of the work of the team.
