Job Description Position Title: Legal Consultant (Contract Law) Job classification: Consultancy Duty station: Manila (Global) Administrative Centre (MAC) Type of Appointment: Three Months Salary: Php 130 000 per month net of taxes

Context Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Legal Counsel and the Division Head, Contract Law Division, Office of Legal Affairs (LEGCR), and under the direct supervision of the Unit Head, Manila Unit and in coordination with other colleagues in the Office of Legal Affairs, the successful candidate will be responsible for giving legal advice on various contractual issues as well as negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements and Memorandum of Understanding.

Required Qualifications and Experience Education Master’s degree in Law, Public International Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with five (5) years of relevant professional experience; or, University degree in the above fields with seven (7) years of relevant professional experience.

Experience: Excellent knowledge in all matters of law related to the field of work, which include contracts with Goovernments, the private sector and non-government organizations. Substantive experience in contract review in an international governmental organization is an advantage. Practical experience in international administrative, civil, and/or commercial law an advantage. Desirable experience in international trade, project financing agreements, IT contract drafting and commercial disputes. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
