You have:
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- 6 months – 1 year of experience, including internships or volunteer work in HR, Learning & Development, or Organizational Culture.
- Basic understanding of learning and development principles.
- Experience coordinating events or trainings is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Function
The Learning & Culture Intern will support the implementation of learning and culture initiatives within Heifer Africa. The role is operational and hands-on, assisting in organizing training sessions, tracking employee development activities, and promoting Heifer’s organizational culture. This position will provide practical experience in learning and development, HR operations, and employee engagement.
The Intern may be located in any of the following countries: Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Malawi, Senegal, Uganda, Rwanda or Zambia.
Responsibilities & Deliverables
A. Learning & Development Support (40%)
- Help coordinate training logistics like booking rooms or preparing materials.
- Support in tracking staff participation in learning sessions (e.g., filling attendance sheets).
- Assist in formatting or proofreading PowerPoint slides or simple templates.
- Collect and enter feedback from training evaluations.
B. Culture & Engagement Activities (30%)
- Assist in simple tasks for events (e.g., setting up, sending invites, creating sign-up sheets).
- Help create internal communications drafts under supervision.
- Support team with data entry or basic analysis of survey results.
- Observe and help coordinate DEI-related activities.
C. Administrative & Coordination Support (20%)
- Keep digital files and folders related to learning and culture initiatives organised.
- Take notes during meetings and circulate summaries.
- Assist with internal emails and updates related to upcoming sessions or events.
D. Other Assigned Tasks (10%)
- Participate in team meetings and support ad hoc administrative tasks.
- Contribute to small projects that give exposure to organisational learning and culture.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
