- University degree in Human Resource, administration/social work or other relevant educational backgrounds
- Minimum 1 year experience in HR, administration or data collecting role
- Knowledge of English (Pre-intermediate level as minimum)

- Computer literate (especially good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Proven ability to conduct Trainings, follow up on progress and document lessons learnt
- Ability to reconcile large groups of data and systematically fix issues

Contract
This is a Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contract. More about Professional contract, Grade 4 (NRC) contracts.
The role of the HR Technical Assistant is to provide support to the Learning & Development Coordinator in the implementation of the training and development initiatives.
Generic responsibilities
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Promote an open knowledge-sharing environment that builds knowledge, skills and service for the benefit of the organization as a whole.
- Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is provided, to be most effective in supporting the team.
- Use initiative in day-to-day problem-solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities, and standards for the area of work.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by line manager and management
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise.
Specific responsibilities
- Providing daily support to Learning & Development Coordinator on all activities required to run the Learning & development (L&D) function.
- Monitor the integrity of training and courses data by performing scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Generate Excel reports and highlight trends and tendencies for analysis by the Learning & Development Coordinator.
- Support the Learning & Development Coordinator in the implementation of needs assessment activities, especially related to data gathering.
- Update training trackers on a regular basis.
- Monitor L&D requests from staff and transfer to Learning & Development Coordinator for appropriate response.
- Respond to inquiries from staff related to training programmes and initiatives.
- Coordinate induction process for all new NRC employees including explanation of Code of Conduct (CoC) guidelines
- Participate in the collection of feedback on learning events and presentation of results for review purposes.
- Support Learning & Development Coordinator in conducting periodic refresher trainings and sensitization sessions for all staff
- Support the Learning & Development Coordinator in supporting Area Offices to Implement NRC’s Induction (NRC plus & NRC lite) within the prescribed time
- Act as the country resource person and Kaya Administrator and liaise with Learning & Development Coordinator and Regional HR on NRC Mandatory Induction Courses
- Support with any other tasks which Learning & Develoment Coordinator will assign.

- Knowledge of English (Pre-intermediate level as minimum).
