Contract
This is a UNV International Specialist contract. This kind of contract is known as International UN Volunteer. It is normally internationally recruited only. More about UNV International Specialist contracts.
The Supply Division Learning & Development unit is a team in HR that focuses on delivering results, while supporting each other and growing together. We are looking for a colleague who can contribute to the results and the growth of the team so that we ensure our interventions continue to support the strategic priorities of the UNICEF Supply Function.
The overall task will be to drive and improve existing interventions as well as to develop new as needed. The team is responsible for interventions that range from live trainings, over on-demand and technical content to career development opportunities such as mentoring and coaching, and we service colleagues globally and to a certain extend partners.
We also collaborate with other parts of the organization to ensure interventions that match the challenges and needs that have been identified as they may not always fall within Learning & Development.
Your overall task would be to understand organizational needs and challenges and design, development and improve relevant interventions.
More concretely, you will: • Engage with different types of stakeholders and use data to analyze and prioritize challenges and needs within areas of strategic importance to the UNICEF Supply Function. • Design, develop and implement different types of interventions to address the identified challenges in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders. • Collaborate with colleagues in the Supply Function, other parts of UNICEF, and partners to ensure synergies and mutual support for relevant interventions. • Ensure that strategies and methods for impact measurement and continuous improvement are a part of the interventions as needed. • Support the coordination of relevant live trainings as needed. • Support the Learning & Development unit by sharing your knowledge and using your skills to help on other projects and tasks.

• Minimum 5 years of experience and most of all skillful in designing, developing, and delivering different kinds of learning and staff development interventions (different kinds of on-demand cont ent, live trainings, online and offline).
• Preferably working experience with human-centered design processes to understand organizational needs and challenges as well as to design and develop relevant interventions.
• Documented experience in and enthusiasm about working with digital tools and platforms to carry out your tasks and to deliver interventions.
• Somewhat used to working with communication, marketing or similar. Skills in graphic design, video production, e-learning tools or similar is an advantage.
• A team player who likes to achieve results by collaborating with other people, while recognizing the importance of being a proactive contributor and project driver.

The UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging for his/her own housing, transport, and other living essentials.
UN Volunteer entitlements and allowances: The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Please note that the amounts can vary according to fluctuations of the monthly post adjustment. Leave entitlements: Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month Certified sick leave: UN Volunteers are entitled to up to 30 days of certified sick leave based on a 12-month cycle. This amount is reset every 12-month cycle. Uncertified sick leave: 7 days for 12 months and 4 days for shorter assignments Learning leave: 10 working days per consecutive 12 months (shorter assignments are prorated) Maternity Leave: 16 weeks Paternity Leave: 10 days
