Overview

Contribute to successful delivery of CTCN Programme of Work activities in LAC.

You have:

  • University degree in engineering, environmental science, international development, international public or related area.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of environment, natural resources management and international development.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in climate change issues and economic development levels of the different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Experience of preparing briefing notes, planning documents and/or other project coordination tools.
  • Good knowledge of climate change mitigation and adaptation related issues in LAC is an asset.
  • Experience of working with UN or International Organizations is an asset.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis, document preparation, and communication is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to various audiences.
  • Ability to synthesize information in a clear and well-structured manner.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver tasks effectively and on time.
  • Record of working harmoniously in teams of multi-cultural background.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in Spanish and English are required.

Result of Service

The consultant will contribute to the successful delivery of the CTCN Programme of Work through: • Successful delivery of CTCN's technical assistance activities in LAC. • Strengthening of partnerships and successful management and engagement of the CTCN's National Designated Entities (NDEs) in the LAC region.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of the CTCN technical assistance in LAC. • Support adaptation technical assistance request generation and refinement; and technical assistance day-to-day management. • Review requests submitted by countries to the CTCN and provide recommendations on request eligibility, prioritisation, refinement and response development. • Design, coordination and implementation of technical assistance response plans. • Monitor the work of implementers, ensure compliance with work plan timelines and deliverable schedules. • Review and provide recommendations on the quality of deliverables, including completion reports. • Support the evaluation of technical proposals submitted by CTCN network members. • Support CTCN capacity building, knowledge management, and communication activities on climate change mitigation and adaptation technologies. • Develop materials needed for Regional Forum, trainings, networking events, CTCN National consultative process, and other regional events organized by CTCN to be conducted throughout 2026-2027. • Provide local and regional intelligence on climate technology gaps and uptake. • Support the monitoring of CTCN post-TA pipeline.

Qualifications/special skills
