Support Integrated Border Management project activities

You have:

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server and MS SQL Server
  • Familiar with IBM system in Vanuatu
  • Experience with developing materials, facilitating trainings, public speaking, or leading group activities

Contract

This is a G-5 contract. This kind of contract is known as General Service and related categories. It is normally only for nationals. It usually requires 5 years of experience, depending on education. More about G-5 contracts.

IOM is looking for an IT Assistant to support our Integrated Border Management project from June 2023 to mid-December 2024.

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities are as follows:

  • Assist preparation of templates and materials for new data procedures;
  • Coordinate with IBM Team of IOM Vanuatu and IT Team at Vanuatu Department of Immigration and Passport Services and Vanuatu Office of the Chief Information Office on the customization of MIDAS;
  • Support coordination of IOM IBM Programme Activities with the Government of Vanuatu;
  • Support capcity building initiatives for IT Team at VIS; and
  • Assist MIDAS HQ with delivery of trainings to border officials.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems;
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Sever and MS SQL Sever;
  • Familiar with IBM system in Vanuatu;- and
  • Experience with developing materials, facilitating trainings, public speaking, or leading group activities.
