OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

1. Design, implement and manage computer-based applications including health information systems, database management, health on theinternet, at the regional office and country offices and member states including human resources development, provision of ICT infrastructure, needs assessment, networking and resources sharing and application management and engineering.

2. Coordinate the design, development and formulation ofpolicies and work of the regional office for application of information technology in healthcare delivery.

3. Advise, as principal adviser, the senior management on ICT regional strategy.

4. Design and implement policies and plan of action forimproving the technology infrastructure in the Regional Office and country offices.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1. Design, deploy and maintain functional networks (LocalArea Network, Wireless Network, Wide Area Network and Global Private Network)in the regional office, Country offices and field offices.

2. Design, build, and maintain the security infrastructureof information technology (IT) systems. This includes installing hardware,configuring firewalls, setting up virtual private networks (VPNs).

3. Coordinate investigations and remediations of securityincidents with the IT teams across the region.

4. Troubleshoot and diagnose network problems and determinethe most appropriate means of resolving problems and issues to improve the overall network performance.

5. Monitor the network applications and systems to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance.

6. Coordinate with HQ, Regional office, and country officeICT teams to design and implement global network solutions.

7. Research, analyze and assess the need for updates,upgrades, enhancements, preventive maintenance, and new systems, and recommending options for upgrading and improving the performance of the networks infrastructure across the region.

8. Liaise with network carriers and external resources,defining and monitoring performance delivery and service level agreements.

9. Recommend and review the hardware procurement of thenetwork systems and solutions in the regional office and country offices.

10. Provide technical briefings to the IT teams in theregional and country offices on new technologies and how to resolve technical issues.

11. Co-develop and produce complex documentation forinstallation, network topology, and troubleshooting of communications hardwareor software.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: University degree in Computer Science or related sciences Desirable: - Cisco CertifiedNetwork Professional (CCNP) Routing and Switching- Prince2 Foundation- ITIL Foundation- CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP).- CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Experience

Essential: Minimum of one year of working experience in the following:

- LAN/WAN administration in international corporate or UN agencies.

- Network design of small, medium, and large offices.

- Implementing, administering, and managing network security technologies including hardware next generation firewalls, intrusionprevention system and internet security gateways.

Desirable:

- Very good working experience in managing Cisco IdentityService Engine (ISE) in large offices or similar tools.

- Good working knowledge of system administration anddatacenter management.

- Very good work experience with VMware, vSphere, and MSHyper-V technologies.

- Very good knowledge in remote access solutions includingSSL VPN, IPSEC VPN, RADIUS technologies and deep knowledge of connecting sites using IPSEC VPN site to site using different technologies.

- Good knowledge of Network management and provisioning(using Cisco Prime infrastructure).

Skills

• Professional training in network solutions, design andimplementation

• Able to deliver professional presentations to both aninternal and external audience and communicating, both in writing and verbally,in a logical, clear effective and confident manner at all levels

• Very good knowledge of Network Monitoring concepts, trafficmanagement and measurement concepts

REMUNERATION

Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at EGP 462,732 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
