  • Bachelor of computer science, Information or relevant field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in IT support and related fields.
  • A+ Certification and/or MCSE Certification preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required; Fluency in Dari and Pashtu preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Server 2019 and Active Directory is needed.
  • Strong technical writing/documentation skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills are required.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure are important attributes.
  • Adaptability for working in a multi-cultural environment is necessary.

Job Description

General Duties

- Provide technical assistance from staff for all PC hardware, software, and associated peripherals. - Install and configure operating systems and IRC-approved software packages to the agreed standards of IRC global operations. - Maintain existing computer equipment to the agreed standards of IRC global operations by performing upgrades, new installations, and carrying out routine procedures. - Coordinate with Operations/HR team for creation and suspension of new user accounts/e-mail, and with Logistics team for allocation of IT-related assets. - Ensure that hardware inventory is being maintained (in cooperation with IRC global IT department) and track all equipment transfers. - Maintain the proper storage of inactive IT assets (computers, printers, UPSs, etc). - In consultation with IRC HQ, assist in procurements, including conducting needs assessments, - Perform and maintain operating systems and office application suites on all user workstations. Ensure that security updates are properly being applied and that workstations remain up-to-date. - Monitor workstation usage to ensure that users remain within the confines of the IRC Afghanistan Acceptable Usage Policy. - Conduct visits to field offices as needed to provide training to field office staff and maintain hardware checks on all IT-related assets. - Ensure that IRC staff remains in compliance with IRC Afghanistan Security Policies, IT Acceptable Usage Policy, and Mandatory Reporting Policy as it pertains to IT. - Submit regular progress reports to the ICT Coordinator - Participate and represent the IT department in any IRC Afghanistan Operations or Staff meetings - Attend and participate in training identified/organized by the supervisor. - Participate and represent IRC in any inter-agency IT-related meetings or seminars

Follow and adopt any new procedures/guidelines designated IT Coordinator/Global IT

- division - Assist in an IT capacity for any program-related duties as requested by your supervisors. This includes assistance in producing supplementary programs or visibility materials for various IRC programs.

Specific Duties:

- Regular Integra training for all staff, - Regular field trips and provide Integra training to staff - Deployment of Integra project - Close work with IT coordinator for Integra project implementation - Regular Integra update to all staff - Maintenance of Solar power backup system for main and all field offices - BVA/Integra ERP troubleshooting - Work with operators/budget holders for aging PRs - Service Now Ticketing system management - Update IT Asset inventory database - IT Documentation - IT Troubleshooting - Up to date IT equipment tracking sheet - Regular instruction to staff about overall usage of the IT equipment - Weekly/monthly report to IT Coordinator - Any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

- Bachelor of computer science, Information or relevant, plus minimum 5 years experience in relevant field - A+ Certification and/or MCSE Certification preferred - Proficiency in written and spoken English; Fluency in Dari and Pashtu languages - Proficiency with Microsoft Server 2019 and Active Directory - Strong technical writing/documentation skills - Strong hardware deployment/repair skills - Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills. - Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - Adaptability for working in a multi-cultural environment
