The Recruitment Center of Expertise (RCoE) evolved from the HR Reform launched in 2016 to spearhead UNICEF’s agile and innovative recruitment strategy, which places the RCoE in a leading role, in a globally decentralized recruitment network. The RCoE conducts research and provides business solutions that facilitates the execution of talent acquisition. RCoE products include standards and guidelines, webinars and tools that will enable UNICEF Offices to make hiring decisions that better position the Organization for success. Leveraging data and lessons learned, the RCoE also orchestrates the knowledge management of global recruitment and selection practices.

The RCoE work is rooted in six pillars namely: (1) Research, Development and Standardization, (2) Toolkit and Talent Group Development and Management, (3) Information, Knowledge Management (4) Communication and Content Management (5) Stakeholder Relationship Management and (6) Measuring and Reporting on Performance

How can you make a difference?

As an intern, you will assist the Recruitment Center of Expertise (RCoE) in Knowledge and Information Management through partnership and collaboration with team members and relevant stakeholders by maintaining standards, best practices and procedures in UNICEF information management. Key accountabilities include the following:

  • Ensuring RCoE knowledge products are easily and readily accessible to all stakeholders by making new and revised information and knowledge products accessible to clients (global HR practitioners and hiring managers) while ensuring logical storage and easy retrieval of all documents;
  • Ensure that RCoE related information is:
    • Complete, authentic, accurate, and well organized.
    • Accessible to those who need it.
    • Captured, stored, retrieved, and destroyed or preserved according to need.
  • Monitor RCoE inbox to ensure timely responses to client questions within the KPI response time.
  • Assist in transforming questions and answers (Q&A) to frequently asked questions (FAQs);
  • Search electronic sources such as repositories for relevant resources and information and Integrate relevant and cleared resources and into the RCoE page
  • Assist with user experience survey to document recommendations on improving the system and assist HR Officer to consult with end users regarding issues in accessing electronic content
  • Any other duties as assigned by the HR officer

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will…

  • Need to be enrolled in or recently graduated (within the past 2 years) from an undergraduate, or graduate programme in Information Management, Communication, Information Science, Knowledge management, or related field.
  • Have Knowledge and/or experience in document management, information management or knowledge management is highly desirable
  • Be fluent in English. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.

Due to current COVID19 restrictions (which are subject to change), the intern will initially work from home, working collaboratively with the Outreach team through online platforms.

Please note this internship is paid, offering a monthly stipend of $1,700 USD. We anticipate the duration to be for six months.
