UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, hope

PFP’s Private Fundraising and Partnerships (PFP) Division works with National Committees (NatComs) and UNICEF country offices to maximize private sector income for programmes that benefit children. The Programme Coordination team, to whom the consultant will report, serves as a ‘broker’ between private sector fundraisers in PFP and National Committees, on the one hand, and UNICEF country offices, regional offices and headquarters, on the other hand.

The team strives to strengthen the link between partners and outcomes for children, ensuring that programmatic results are clear, compelling, deliverable and delivered. The unit achieves this by providing a range of products, including high-quality compelling investment cases and Accelerator propositions; programmatic advice and knowledge through capacity building workshops; development of tools and guidance materials; and providing quality assurance on proposals and reports.

How can you make a difference?

This internship is being established to support the growing demands on the Programme Coordination’s knowledge management support to fundraising teams, as well as to provide an opportunity for a high-performing student to learn more about UNICEF’s work.

Under the general supervision of the Programme Specialist, and in close collaboration with the Programme Coordination team, the incumbent will support the management of the team’s knowledge management platforms; namely, the Accelerator Content Platform, PFP Intranet pages, and the Field Visits Hub.

  • Support with the monitoring and tracking of bugs and fixes on the Accelerator Content Platform and support with any required follow up via external developers.
  • Support with the testing of various functionalities of the Platform.
  • Collate weekly or bi-weekly dashboard analytics of the Accelerator Content Platform.
  1. Capacity Building
  • Support the digitization of existing content that is part of the Programme Masterclass – a 3.5 day in-person training on UNICEF’s programmes and operations
  • Coordinate a capacity building scheduling for all outreach done by the Programme Coordination Team with teams in PFP and National Committees
  • Support content development for new capacity building initiatives and events, including PowerPoints and 1-2 pages overviews
  1. Field Visits Hub
  • Manage the piloting of the new Field Visit Hub, including tracking requests for in-person and virtual visits.
  • Linked with capacity building, support the development of a training module on the new Field Visit Procedure and Field Visit Hub for rollout in 2021.
