The Global Fund for Coral Reefs offers developing countries, donors and investors the opportunity to deliver on international commitments related to biodiversity, climate and wider human rights. The GFCR requires a widespread analysis of relevant international treaties, conventions and related frameworks which are applicable to the initiative's mandate and potential impact. The assignment focuses on 4 concrete deliverables (referenced in the task description).

-Conduct international Treaty/Convention mapping and alignment analysis for mandates relevant to coral reef conservation. -Produce a full report providing an overview of mapping findings and in-depth analysis for mandates linked to coral reef conservation. -Produce an internal recommendation report including recommended steps and actions needed to activate alignment and recognition potential.
-Produce two-part presentation including above-mentioned mapping, alignments, key findings including prioritisation, and recommendations.

• Conducting legal research on issues related to international law and other areas of specialization using multiple research resources; • Review of legal documents, instruments or other material; • Drafting, preparing and finalising official reports and documents; • Drafting, preparing and finalising official presentations; and • Attending and taking notes at conferences and official meetings.
