Support coordination of UN activities in Paraguay

You have:

  • Be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school programme or first university degree programme.
  • Studies in International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Economy, or Sociology is desirable.
  • Knowledge of English is required.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is required.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the coordination of United Nations activities in Paraguay, including assistance in organizing meetings, workshops, and events. •Conduct research and analysis on key development issues in Paraguay, with a focus on topics relevant to the SDGs. •Assist in drafting reports, briefs, and other communication materials on UN initiatives and achievements. •Provide support in maintaining databases, filing systems, and other administrative tasks as needed. •Assist in liaising with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other partners to facilitate collaboration an information exchange. •Participate in team meetings and other relevant activities of the RCO.

Qualifications/special skills

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme. Your training, education, advance course work or skills should benefit the United Nations during your internship. To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent). For this internship, studies in the area of International Relations, Public Policy, Political Science, Economy or Sociology is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Knowledge of Spanish is required. Knowledge of English is required. Knowledge of another UNofficial language would be an asset.
