Alongside placing girls and women at the centre of our programme work, we will support boys and men to embrace healthy and positive attitudes and behaviours, adopt new masculinities and challenge gender norms.

The Role and Scope:

Under the supervision of the Country Manager – Humanitarian Action, the Intern will be responsible for supporting Plan International’s climate and humanitarian-related activities. The intern will support in report drafting, communications materials draft, primary literature review/draft review, etc. that supports Plan International Bangladesh’s strategic vision and change journey.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum undergraduate degree in Sociology, Social Science, Environmental Studies, Disaster Management Studies, or any relevant field. This position is full-time, requiring a full commitment of time and engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali languages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Basic knowledge of Disaster Management, Humanitarian Action, Climate Change.
  • Essential: Young, well-motivated, has active interest in public campaigning, ability to take initiative, work under pressure situation and ability to meet deadlines without losing quality of work.
  • Preferred: Volunteer experience on Emergency Response, Humanitarian Action and Climate Action.
  • Preferred: Experience in event management, campaigning, or voluntary work
