Assist clients with assessments and develop service plans
You have:
- Must be able to obtain an AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must be able to pass an IRC Background check
- Cultural competency & consideration
- Excellent written & verbal skills
- Proficient with Excel & other Microsoft Office applications
- Self-starter, ability to complete projects with minimal supervision
- Access to reliable, insured vehicle
- Interest in public health, social work, or international studies preferred, but not required
- Computer literacy, database experience preferred
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Empathy and open-mindedness in a cross-cultural environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be comfortable working with the LGBTQ community and Asylum Seekers
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct client assessments at intake, 6 months, and 12 months after ICM enrollment
- Work in collaboration with the client to develop individualized goals and service plans
- Map community assets and help make referrals to community partners
- Assist in scheduling and accompanying clients to appointments as appropriate
- Assist clients with navigating healthcare and social service systems
- Input case note documentation into IRC’s database
- Communicate client concerns with ICM staff
- Work on additional mezzo and macro projects to increase capacity of the ICM program
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS:

Note: This is an unpaid internship and you must commit to 15 hours a week for a 3-month minimum. For this role, there is an availability preference of two full days a week over the course of two semesters (with flexibility and time off for all school holidays). Internship hours can only be completed between Monday-Friday 9- 5 pm.
